Wijnaldum suffers with Liverpool expensive points loss against Brighton

In the run-up to the squatter against Manchester City, Liverpool suffered expensive points loss on Wednesday night. At Anfield, Jürgen Klopps team went down 1-0 against Brighton. It was the second home defeat in a row for Liverpool.

The two handsome victories in a row at Tottenham (3-1) and West Ham (3-1) could not follow the The Reds. Brighton, where Joël Veltman was missing because of a muscle injury, played a good game and noted more goal attempts for rest than Liverpool. The men of Graham Potter recorded five against two of the men of Klopp, but did not score.

Liverpool played a sloppy first half and after a great chance of Mohamed Salah in the third minute, The Reds hardly created anything. In fact, at the ball Liverpool was downright sloppy.

The tea had visibly done well to the home team, because Liverpool came out of the dressing room a lot sharper. Yet it was the visitors who came ten minutes after rest. A junk goal last touched by Steven Alzate disappeared behind Caoimhin Kelleher. It was the first Premier League goal for the 22-year-old Colombian.

Liverpool then went on the hunt for the equalizer and after a beautiful attack that goal seemed to fall after seventy minutes. However, Salah saw his rounding shot fly over the target.

Brighton then saw the pressure on the own goal increase, but thanks to excellent defensive work, he stood up and achieved the best victory of the season.

As a

result of the defeat, Liverpool is now seven points behind on the front runner Manchester City and it has to be won on Sunday if The Reds is still able to compete for the title. City has also played one less match than Liverpool.

West Ham settles with Aston Villa

Mede because of two fast goals after rest West Ham has won Aston Villa. Both teams searched for the dressing room without scoring, but five minutes after rest Tomás Soucek opened the score on behalf of the visitors. Five minutes later, Jesse Lingard brought his squad to roses by doubling the score.

Ten minutes before Ollie Watkins made the connection hit and became quite exciting, but Lingard finally decided the duel with his second of the evening: 1-3. West Ham runs an excellent season and ranks

fifth in the Premier League after the victory. Everton and Tottenham, respectively numbers six and seven, still have two games left.

Everton wins Leeds
