‘Wrong environmental objectives’

When do we stop cutting trees?, E. Goedhart wonders worried. The world becomes a Sahara without trees, because they do something about CO2 and water storage.

Trees have been cut down since time immemorial. For housing construction, the entire uprising on the west coast of America was cleared. Australia handed in its trees for the panama canal, Germany for masts on ships, Poland for the railways, Spain for the Armada, the Amazon for cattle breeding, the Kilimanjaro for wood fires to eat.

The Chinese are buying trees for chopsticks worldwide. Everywhere the forests are on fire by man. And now that all the trees are gone, the climate changes. And that is due to warming due to too much CO2. Trees hold water and CO2.

When do we stop cutting trees? The world becomes a Sahara without trees, because they do something about CO2 and water storage. We want to reduce CO2 by reducing emissions. Were using CO2 to fight the wrong symptoms. Without trees, the world becomes one Sahara.
