Real Madrid trainer Zinédine Zidane is displeased by the fact that the away match against Osasuna took place on Saturday evening despite the winter conditions. On the poorly playable field in Pamplona Real stuck at 0-0.
“This was not a football match, it should have been canceled,” said the annoyed Zidane. “We coped badly with the circumstances and the trip. We did what we could on the field, but the feeling thats alive now is that it wasnt a good match.”
The trip from Real to Osasuna was also not without problems. The team left for Pamplona with a lot of delay on Friday. The champion of Spain stood still for hours on the runway of the metropolitan airport Barajas Airport. The aircraft could not take off due to a violent blizzard that stopped public life in Madrid for a while.
“ Its a thing of the past and right now we dont know what were going to do or when well come back,” says the trainer. “My biggest complaint concerns the contest. The circumstances were just not right. I know I repeat myself, but thats how it is.”
