Ziyech crucial for Chelsea in Sweden, Wolsburg wins again after Van Bommel exit

Chelsea has won a victory at Malmö FF by Hakim Ziyech. The Blues came hard to score in Sweden, but Ziyech took his team by the hand. VfL Wolfsburg has also managed to win his second game after the resignation of Mark van Bommel.
Malmö – Chelsea 0-1At the visitors were allowed to start Ziyech from trainer Thomas Tuchel in the base. Chelsea had the ball almost the entire first half and got great opportunities, but the London team failed to score. As a result, it was still 0-0 at rest.
After the break, the game image remained the same. In the 56th minute, Chelsea broke the ban. Callum Hudson-Odoi set up a nice combination with Kai Havertz, after which the former swung the ball in front of the goal. Ziyech was completely free there. The former Ajacied used it gratefully: he shot the 0-1 cool against the ropes.

In the remainder of the game, Chelsea remained dominant and had enough chances to double the margin. However, that did not work: 0-1 became the final result. As a result, Chelsea now matches Juventus in Group H of the Champions League in points. However, the Old Lady will still take action against Zenit Saint Petersburg later in the evening.
Wolfsburg – Red Bull Salzburg 2-1In Germany, Salzburg had the opportunity to secure itself of the next Champions League round. It didn
t get that far though. After three minutes, the Austrians were already looking at 1-0 behind, after a hit by Riddle Baku. After half an hour of play, however, former Ajax defender Maximilian Wöber brought the tension back into the game. He curled a free-kick nice touch.

In the second half, things went wrong for Salzburg. Lukas Nmecha, who was on the attack together with Wout Weghorst, made a very nice hit: 2-1. Salzburg was unable to come back from that backlog. As a result, Wolfsburg has still won all his duels since the dismissal of Van Bommel. That Wölfe is now second in Group G of the Champions League. Salzburg remains first. Competitors Sevilla and Lille OSC will play against each other later on Tuesday.
