Its my job to score
“This means that I have made some goals throughout my career,” said Ibrahimovic with a sense of understatement after the duel. “The most important thing is that I help my team as best as I can. And my job is to create goals and create situations where goals fall out.”
Trainer Stefano Pioli had praise for Ibrahimovic. “Its hard to be surprised by Zlatan.” “That at his age he still has this level shows that he is an extraordinary professional. Few people are as strong as him. Hes a champion, an athlete with a huge motivation. He takes care of his body immensely well. Sometimes hes tired, too, but he never fails. Hes helping the team tremendously with that. It has become a match for the players who is first on the training field. Often he is.”
Pioli does not want to talk about the title, which Milan last grabbed in 2011. “The decisive matches come later. All clubs from the top 7 are able to grab the Scudetto. Our goal is to win every game. As a leader, the pressure is on us. We see that as a privilege.”
